About Me

Basic Info:
- I graduated from Detroit Country Day in 2005 and am now a sophomore at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) where I'm majoring in Movement Science and fulfilling pre-med reqs.
- In high school, I was sports editor and later Assistant Editor-in-Chief for our award winning newspaper, The Day Times. I used to play basketball and run track (6th in the region for 100m dash), but I've had seven knee surgeries and no longer can run. I'm currently waiting for a medial meniscus transplant.
- Since I can't play sports anymore, I throw all my passion for sports into following the Detroit Red Wings. I've been a fan of the Wings ever since I can remember, but it wasn't until the past few years where I've become, well, obsessed. I've had the amazing opportunities to interview Kris Draper, Jason Williams, Denise Ilitch (the Alternate Governor at the time), and Jim Nill (Wings Asst. GM). I also attended two Red Wings practices in the 2003-2004 season and High School Journalist Day at the Joe where we participated in a mock press conference with the coaches, members of the media, and three players (Draper, Williams, & Mark Mowers).
- When I'm not talking about hockey, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to quality music (Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch, Relient K, etc.), scrapbooking, and watching great TV shows like 24 and House. I enjoy reading books about medicine (like Complications, Walking Out on the Boys, The Intern Blues) and sports (The Perfect Mile, The Boys of Winter, It's Not About the Bike).
